Hey!
Here's the maker of MRT horses, a 19-year-old girl from Finland. I come from the coastal city of Rauma, but moved to Tampere in 2025 after beginning my studies in civil engineering. Besides English, I have studied German and Swedish. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my camera when I'm not sewing a hobbyhorse.
I made my first hobbyhorse in the beginning of summer 2017, and a few years later I created this website. Since then I've sold over a hundred hobbyhorses as both commissions and sale horses. By now, my handicrafts have found homes in eight different countries abroad: Germany, Poland, Sweden, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. I became a 4H entrepreneur while attending a summer entrepreneur program in my hometown in 2022 and 2023.
In addition to selling handicrafts, my entrepreneurship includes organizing events. I'm a judge certified by the FHHA in both disciplines, dressage and showjumping. The Meretecup competition, organized every summer since 2022, has its own site.

Täällä kirjoittaa MRT-hevosten valmistaja, 19-vuotias Mette. Olen lähtöisin Raumalta, mutta muutin rakennustekniikan opintojen perässä Tampereelle syksyllä 2025. Keppihevosharrastuksen ohessa nautin luonnossa liikkumisesta ja valokuvaamisesta.
2017 alkukesästä tein ihka ensimmäisen keppihevoseni, ja pari vuotta myöhemmin perustin nämä nettisivut selkeyttämään käsitöideni tilaamista. Nyt hevosia on tullut valmistettua yli sata kappaletta, niin myyntiin kuin tilauksenakin. Tällä hetkellä käsitöitäni löytyy Suomen lisäksi ulkomailta kahdeksasta eri maasta. Ryhdyin 4H-yrittäjäksi toimiessani kesäyrittäjänä kotikaupungissani vuosina 2022 ja 2023.
Käsitöiden myymisen lisäksi yrittäjyyteeni sisältyy erilaisten tapahtumien järjestämistä. Olen SKHH ry:n virallinen este- ja koulutuomari. Vuodesta 2022 asti joka kesä järjestetyllä Meretecup-kilpailulla on omat nettisivunsa.
